being continuous?

The answer is yes. In our Adult Health, Exercise Therapy
and Sport Performance services we often see clients to give advice and
support for things like injury exercise therapy, sport performance,
nutritional support, change programs, sort out questions about health
and fitness and solve problems. The cost is still the same for an
initial assessment and consult, however "pay for service" costs for visits
are more $ compared to programs. However for our Special Programs we
have different arrangements.
Will insurance cover my sessions?.
Some private policies cover health and fitness or wellness services.
For those entering our physician referral programs such as the
Kids Health Initiative some coverage from insurance is possible.
For children entering our Adapted Gym Program local agencies
cover the cost in some cases as well as special services at home. Read
"Adapted Gym" for more details
on the program.
Can I work on only specific body parts to lose
fat?
This is not very effective. In order to reduce body fat
(usually subcutaneous-under the skin) a combination of aerobic exercise
with resistance training is necessary. Just how much and what is
appropriate to you can be determined in our assessment. Things
that affect your ability to lose body fat are eating/dieting history,
activity levels, genetics, health, aerobic and anaerobic efficiency,
motivation, medications, age and gender.
Will you come to my home?
Under special circumstances and if time allows we will come to you.
Some of our clients are unable to transport themselves to our private
centre because of disabilities or age. If mobility holds you back
from getting help we will make arrangements for you. In some cases
clients prefer their own environment and in some cases we have made
exceptions to see them at their home.
How soon will I see
results?
In any new endeavour it is normal to be apprehensive, even fearful.
This is the nature of the task any time you attempt to improve yourself.
Results in terms of improvements begin the day you start will us.
Once we've discussed your health, aspirations and history and performed
the assessment you will feel relief and confidence that you have sincere
goals to work with. Consistency over time, along with our
expertise and encouragement will produce a variety of "results" in both
your body and mental outlook. We will set very realistic goals in
an honest discussion about your health.
